To FreeBSD or to DesktopBSD?

Hi.
AFAIK, DesktopBSD is a friendly version of FreeBSD.
Does DesktopBSD loose some FreeBSD features (because it targets desktops so some advanced FreeBSD features aren't included)?
It seems to me that DesktopBSD isn't stable yet:
