Indeed. I've been using 100MB boot partitions for many years now, because I see no point in allocating anything less. I'm not even the type to always have the latest hardware, the last disks I bought were 720GB. 

100MB is only 10% of 1GB. The first hard disk I ever bought for myself, in the 1990s, affordable when I had almost no spending money, was 4GB.
