upgrade: can't installworld????

trying to installworld on a box I just recompiled from 10.3 to 11.0, and 
am running the 11.0-STABLE kernel.

I get:

This is just the first error.  If I add STRIP= to /etc/make.conf, it 
gets further, but other issues come up.
