Still up and running here.

 8:02AM  up 1 day, 12:10, 4 users, load averages: 0.08, 0.26, 0.52

After the panics began, I never went more than 12 hours without one before
applying this patch.  I think you nailed it, Attilio.  Or at least, you
moved it.
