Tuning the scheduler? Desktop with a CPU-intensive task becomes rapidly unusable.

And turns out I have this in my sysctl.conf :-)

# should give more responsivness on desktop
# suggested by David Xu <davidxu at freebsd.org>
kern.sched.preempt_thresh=220

Apparently I have it for so long in there that I forgot that I do.
