on the fly attach detection SATA troubles

RELENG_6_2 on TYAN Tomcat K8E (S2865) motherboard with onboard NVidia SATA 
controller:

When connecting/dictonnecting SATA drive (I tried ad8 and ad10) on the fly I've 
got

and the drive(s) is not detected. atacontrol detach/attach or atacontrol reinit 
does not help either.

When booting with the drive connected everything's detected fine.

Is it normal?
