ifconfig carp1 destroy = kernel panic

Sorry if this sound too stupid, but do you think, that if I download 
rev. 1.47 (or latest rev. 1.48)
of src/sys/netinet/ip_carp.c and I recompile the kernel this will/can 
fix the problem ?
Anyway I'm going to test this tomorrow :)
