Upgrading RAM

It should just work.

A long time ago (2.x and 3.x days), Compaq's wouldn't work right
because of their junkie architecture. So you had to tell the kernel
how much memory you had.

That junkie architecture has moved to HP now, but at least that
problem is no longer there.
