releng_5_4 install problems and a question about a possible work around (solved)

Any ways what I did was to get around the problem of it the partition
table and/or mbr being screwed up by 6.0 was just use partition magic
to convert the ntfs partition to fat32. What this did is it allows me
to use the freebsd boot selector. Then I just installed 6.0.
