MySQL crashes on 6.0-RC1

Please ignore the noise.  One of my cow-orkers had apparently
configured /etc/hosts.allow, so that it would deny connections to any
service on the host apart from sshd.  Still doesn't explain why the
mysqld process simply restarts, but now it works fine.
