Only the older version of xmbmon (204) works with my k8v se deluxe-board while
the actual version of xmbmon (205_1) in the ports doesnt. 
Try (/usr/ports/sysutils/)portdowngrade to downgrade the xmbmon-port and
install version 204. That worked for me...
