What is considered "the best supported" RAID controller for 5.x?

I still like the 3ware cards for RAID1.  However, I have started using the 
Areca cards so far with good results on RAID5 machines.  There is both an 
http and cli app and the cards are VERY fast on the tests I have done.  See 
the arcmsr driver man page.
