If I boot w/o the hub plugged in, it works fine. Afterwards, the hub
identifies as 
uhub3: Philips Semiconductors hub, class 9/0, rev 1.10/1.10, addr 2
uhub3: 2 ports with 2 removable, self powered
and my memory stick attaches fine to all ports.
