Illumos is derived from Solaris 10, which is SVR4. There is virtually
no commonality between it and BSD. /sys/cddl/contrib/opensolaris and
/sys/cddl/compat/opensolaris contain shims to allow ZFS & dtrace to run
on FreeBSD. Supporting device drivers would be much more difficult.
