Hello,
New to this mailing list but not to FreeBSD, I'm currently playing with
a Sun Fire T2000 (4 cores and 8GB RAM) to install FreeBSD sparc64 using
latest release 8.2 of february 17th.
I cannot go more than boot from cdrom by now, I tried 8.2RC1(1) and then
8.2RELEASE(2) ISO DVD, I have a trap after "jumping to kernel entry at
0xc0088000". Loading kernel phase is very very slow, it may take 1 or 2
minutes in the two cases.
I had a go with 2 memory modules that did not work correctly and were
disabled, it seems to be OK now after permuting and reenabling them,
perhaps this can be the cause of the problem.
Can you tell / ask me more ?
Regards,
Denis
