Then compile a new kernel without INET6.  The error only affects ipv6
anyway; the ipv4 address is still set.

Have you checked to see if the same mac address appears elsewhere on the
network? Rare, but possible :)

hme0 is the builtin; hme1-4 are the qfe board.
