5.2 Release and Syscons on U60

Hello, I've installed 5.2 release on my Ultra 60 with a Creator 3d card
and have added:

device          sc
device          creator
device          splash
options         KBD_INSTALL_CDEV

to my kernel. when re-compile it and re-boot the machine all the normal
kernel messages fly past including:

creator0: <Creator3d> on nexus0
sc0: Unknown <16 virtual consoles, flags=0x200>

but I never get the login prompt on the machine and thus no console!
although I can still login over SSH.

Any Ideas???
