Question about software RAID

Hi folks!

Just got FreeBSD running on both my E250 and also my SunfireV120. I'm 
loving it. Much better than that Solaris stuff :)

Quick question for folks on the mailing list:

Are any of you running software RAID? I'd like to setup some RAID-1 
with hotspare drives on both my boxes. Is ccd or vinum better for 
this? For the folks using one or the other, what significant, if any 
system overhead/problems has using either of these pieces of software 
caused? TYIA!
