FreeBSD support in SMP platform

Dear ALL
 
I am james wang working at IBM taiwan. Recently, I tried to install 
 
FreeBSD V5.2 in IBMx455 ( Xeon CPU, 8 Way ), system.
 
One way ( One CPU ) works well but system complaint to us when
 
I installed 8 Ways CPU in system.
 
Dose any one advise me ? What kind of driver ( SMP ) should I install ?
 
Or, any other comments ?
