Hypertheading support / performance?

Does anyone have any stats on how the hyperthreading support is performing?
Also is it also supported in 5.0-Current as I've only seen it mentioned in the
4.8 release notes. I particularly interested in using this for our game servers
all Dual 2.5 Xeon machines so stats for dual machines with hyperthreading
enabled in my prime interest.
