I don't think I buy that. It's not a terrible idea to reboot a machine
(if you have the luxury) after you make lots of changes simply to make
sure that if comes back up in the same state you left it. That way if you
lose power in the middle of the night, you don't get the 6am calls from
users complaining that the database (web server, app server, etc) isn't
running.
