Output - Intel SE7501WV2 SCSI ISSUES

I have a new intel server with the SE7501WV2 Motherboard installed.

AIC 7902 Controller.

I have installed 6 Seagate SCSI Drive (U320) and cannot get Freebsd 4.8
to install
With more that 4 drives? I have also tried 5.0 and 5.1 where arfter the
fourth drive is installed the systems hangs. On boot where is says
waiting 15 sec for SCSI devices to settle - this is where it hangs??

Can you help?

Hey Roger,

  Whenever you get your hands on a new peice of hardware that comes up
as "Unknown Device.." in the FreeBSD boot messages (and from dmesg)
but actually works OK, then that just means we have to add a one line
change to the FreeBSD kernel and I can do that in 30 seconds.  All I
need is some information about the device which can be found by
typing:

	# pciconf -lv

  as root.  This will display the PCI device ID, vendor ID, etc.. for
all the PCI devices.  I can then add this ID into the kernel.

  As for your SCSI problems, I don't have any slick new hardware like
that but you can try emailing scsi at FreeBSD.org, or some of the
individual Adaptec employees such as scottl at FreeBSD.org (Scott Long)
and gibbs at FreeBSD.org (Justin Gibbs).  Also check out the new 5.1 and
see if it works.  If it works there but not in 4.X then we can
backport it for 4.9 (still several months out).
