EFI, UEFI, PXE: FreeBSD-12.1-RELEASE-amd64-bootonly.iso boot from SAN device failed, error 0x7f22208e

I've build this special kernel and installed it under /var/tmp/test:
make buildkernel KERNCONF=UEFI && make installkernel DESTDIR=/var/tmp/test KERNCONF=UEFI

There are no bootloaders to be found under /var/tmp/test/ , what have I done wrong?
I was expecting to find at least loader.efi there.
