If you want to rename the port, then you should just rename the port.
Deleting the port and re-creating it under a different name is pretty
much a no-no as that doesn't preserve the history in the ports repo.

I see you are the upstream author of the software, and also that you
have a new github repo under the new name.  If that's all ready to go I
can commit the necessary changes?
