I meant "for ordinary people", as in "I want to make
annotations" or "I want to print the document". :-)
Technically, I fully agree with you.

Exactly, that's only one of the possible problems
when you deal with PDF. Enter printing, and you'll
also have to deal with color spaces, geometry,
PDF standards...
