I installed a firefox addon [1] to the desktop and configured it thusly to
change User-Agent string for * to the following value:

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko)
Iridium/2019.04

and the problem persists...
