I'd start from the other end; check what files were brought in by the
package:

% pkg info -l <package>

The name and/or install location  of file you're looking for might have
changed, the file might have been omitted from the package by mistake, or...
any number of other things may have happened.

Check what the package contained instead. It's the authoritative 'truth' in
this case.
