ntpd configutration -- a small suggestion from the peanut gallery

The reason

is just further down in the man page.  By default NTP will only adjust 
time gradually.  So if the time discrepancy is too large it will take a 
really long time for the adjustment to complete.

It certainly would be better though if messages were produced when it exits.
