[OT] Why did "enterprise" crap seem to win? (re: Virtualization, Java, Microsoft, Outsourcing, etc.)...

I just want to also thank you for your comments. They hit so many nails
and the head and made me feel better about the despair I feel toward
the direction of corporate IT.  I really want to send this thread out
to everyone in my department, but I know it will fall on deaf ears. But
again thanks for letting me know I'm not as crazy as the rest of my
co-workers think!
