12-CURRENT in VirtualBox

Hi,

I can't get FreeBSD 12 r311461 to boot in VirtualBox. I'm using this
image: http://ftp.freebsd.org/pub/FreeBSD/snapshots/VM-IMAGES/12.0-CURRENT/i386/20170105/FreeBSD-12.0-CURRENT-i386-20170105-r311461.vmdk.xz
properly uncompressed.

VirtualBox version is 5.1.14 (pkg installed).

FreeBSD panics during boot with the following message:

panic: atpic_assign_cpu: bad cookie

I tried disabling ACPI to no luck.

Any ideas?
