I had default_mode also in the /boot/loader.conf but didn't work.  I
didn't have problem on FreeBSD 10.2-RELEASE (amd64) but when I  upgrade
to 10.3-RELEASE stopped working. I did new install of FreeBSD 10.3-
RELEASE(amd64) and result is the same: doesn't work.
