uname -a and freebsd-version show different output on my system

The kernel is not updated with every patch level, but freebsd-version
does show the current version:

$ uname -r
$ freebsd-version -k
$ freebsd-version

Was there a kernel update you expected to see between 11.0 p2 and p6?
