I'm on the 10.x branch so tend to forget 9.x. Does 9.3 actually support 
direct UEFI booting, or are you using CSM (legacy BIOS) mode to boot? I 
was under the impression that Macs didn't have CSM and needed a pure 
UEFI booting system.
