jail issue post upgrade

Hi

On a box that recently been upgraded from 9.1 to 10.0-REL i'm seeing an 
odd issue within jails

certain binaries within the basejail are showing errors, and it means i 
can;t update ports fro example.

/usr/sbin/mtree: Undefined symbol "uid_from_user"

/bin/csh give the same error

[/]# /bin/csh
/bin/csh: Undefined symbol "__bsd_iconv_open"

It executes find on host
# /data/jails/basejail/bin/csh
#

I have posted to the ezjail list but no response as yet.

any suggestions welcome.
