acroread9 crashed immediately after starting

Try ports@, or emulators@; but I did run this down about year or so ago 
(same symptoms) - although I don't remember the RSException - so check 
you're up to date.

Also try ldd and see if it might be missing something else that wasn't 
missing last time.

The inotify won't be an issue. That comes up with several applications, 
but is essentially harmless.
