Just logged into the only Solarflare box I have access to --

/boot/loader.conf has

 sfxge_load="YES"


So on a running system you'll have to

# kldload sfxge

And my pciconf -l has these entries:

> sfxge0 at pci0:6:0:0:  class=0x020000 card=0x71041924 chip=0x08131924 rev=0x00 hdr=0x00
> sfxge1 at pci0:6:0:1:  class=0x020000 card=0x71041924 chip=0x08131924 rev=0x00 hdr=0x00
