Netflow capture question

Hi,

I have some periodic traffic coming off one of my servers that is 
regular but i can't figure out where its going..

I don't have direct access to the router this is going via, will 
netflow, flowcapture allow me to monitor traffic ( by port/protocol etc) 
straight off the NIC?
