LSI 2008 drivers

Good afternoon,

We're looking to build a ZFS storage device with FreeBSD version 8.3, however, the Supermicro based hardware comes with LSI 2008 SAS controller card and we were told that LSI / Supermicro doesn't have a driver for FreeBSD.  We're just wondering if the LSI 2008 is supported under FreeBSD version 8.3?

Please advise.
