ok, attempting that...
After copying the jdk-6u3-fcs... files that it complained about from the
oracle site:
OO requires ant, but the ant install fails:
123 /usr/ports/devel/apache-ant#make install
===> Installing for apache-ant-1.8.2_1
===> apache-ant-1.8.2_1 depends on executable: classpath - found
===> apache-ant-1.8.2_1 depends on file:
/usr/local/jdk1.6.0/bin/java - not found
===> Verifying install for /usr/local/jdk1.6.0/bin/java in
/usr/ports/java/jdk16
===> Vulnerability check disabled, database not found
===> License check disabled, port has not defined LICENSE
===> Found saved configuration for jdk-1.6.0.3p4_27
IMPORTANT: To build the JDK 1.6.0 port, you should have at least
2.5Gb of free disk space in the build area!
Due to licensing restrictions, certain files must be fetched manually.
Please open
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html
in a web browser and follow the "Download" link for
"JDK DST Timezone Update Tool - 1_3_42" to obtain the
time zone update file, tzupdater-1_3_42-2011k.zip.
Please place the downloaded file(s) in /usr/ports/distfiles
and restart the build.

*** Error code 1

*** Error code 1

The oracle site does not contain the proper version of tzupdater -- it
includes a more recent version, 1_3_47-2012c.zip.
What's the right way to get around that issue?
Thanks,
Gary
