Thanks for the good news. Can you please show 'cat /dev/sndstat' and
what the kernel thinks about the NIC (is it the re(4) driver?)

I have tried PC-BSD 9.0 on a similar motherboard with a Sandy Bridge
video, it seems to work in VESA mode.
