can not destroy ng interface

Hi, Freebsd-questions.

# ifconfig ng0
ng0: flags=88d1<UP,POINTOPOINT,RUNNING,NOARP,SIMPLEX,MULTICAST> metric 0 mtu 1400
        nd6 options=29<PERFORMNUD,IFDISABLED,AUTO_LINKLOCAL>
meta-up# ifconfig ng0 destroy
ifconfig: SIOCIFDESTROY: Invalid argument

why I can not destroy interface?
