Sorry to reply to my own post, but I remembered to look in
ports/X11/xclip/pkg-descr and found that xclip and possible xclipboard
require X11.
Sorry for not doing that before I posted.
So, is there a non-X11 port that will let me do what I need to do? Does
Midnight Commander have a clipboard?
