Portsnap, which had always worked flawlessly on my FreeBSD-8.1 / amd64
machine, had suddenly started spewing out this error message(s):

Looking up mirrors... 5 mirrors found.
Fetching snapshot tag from done.
Fetching snapshot metadata... fetch: No address record
sha256: 1ad44e525a0145a9daea915d8a8827be69a292caf91f9e22aac825eed3be2e41: No such file or directory
[: !=: unexpected operator
mv: rename 1ad44e525a0145a9daea915d8a8827be69a292caf91f9e22aac825eed3be2e41 to No such file or directory
grep: No such file or directory
look: No such file or directory

Portsnap metadata appears bogus.
Cowardly refusing to proceed any further.

Has anyone else experienced similar behavior?

Jerry ✌
