building lynx with ssl

Hi there,

I Built lynx-2.8.7 from the .tar.gz and unable to get ssl support to work

the error is:

Alert!: This client does not contain support for HTTPS URLs.


and the build strategy used is:
./configure --with-ssl && make && sudo make install

what am I doing wrong?
