There are two related files in /boot/kernel:

# ls -lsa /boot/kernel/amd.ko*
 24 -r-xr-xr-x 1 root wheel 24414 May 9 16:37 /boot/kernel/amd.ko
 78 -r-xr-xr-x 1 root wheel 79484 May 6 12:36
/boot/kernel/amd.ko.symbols

The amd.ko.symbols file was created when I upgraded to 7.2 last Wednesday.
What creates that file? And how do I update it? Could it be the cause of
the problem?

All the other related files were updated today.

Paul Schmehl, If it isn't already
obvious, my opinions are my own
and not those of my employer.
