Issues with make -j option on ports

Ahh, that'll be where I'm going wrong then. Thank you very much :)

Is this number only be overridden on the command line e.g. make
-DMAKE_JOBS_NUMBER=8 install clean... or is there a file I could put this
in, I'm thinking make.conf in /etc ?
