Network configuration in FreeBSD

Well, the first thing is to learn about 'ifconfig'
Start with the handbook and the man pages.
>From there, you will branch out to other network documentation.

Anyway, it sounds like you did not configure or start any
network device (NIC - Network Interface Card).
