where is the new kernel(GENERIC) file?

Hi there.  
  
I downloaded the sources of freebsd 6.3 via
cvsup.  
  
Where the new kernel file is copied? I've checked
into /usr/src/sys/i386/conf/ and the GENERIC file
has the old date.
