freebsd-updates problem

since the update to 7.0-RELEASE-p6 is available, I have some problems
with freebsd-updates. It tells me that /boot/kernel/linker.hints needs to be
updated and if I install the update, it will tell me again and again that it
needs to be updated.

[root at headless /usr/local/www/apache22/data]# freebsd-update fetch
Looking up mirrors... 1 mirrors found.
Fetching metadata signature for 7.0-RELEASE from
Fetching metadata index... done.

The following files will be updated as part of updating to 7.0-RELEASE-p6:

[root at headless /usr/local/www/apache22/data]# uname -a
FreeBSD 7.0-RELEASE-p6 FreeBSD 7.0-RELEASE-p6 #0: Mon
Nov 24 10:59:10 UTC 2008
root at

Any idea of what might be going on?
