FreeBSD uses CPUs, RAM, Disks, ... which in turn use
up electricity and sysadmin time.

It runs all kinds of programs that are compatible
to it (which means a whole lot of Linux-compatible
programs) and gives back heat, a very little bit of
frustration and a huge amount of satisfaction. ;)

But more seriously, are you asking about hardware
requirements?

The FreeBSD License for FreeBSD itself. Every third party
application uses their own license (BSD, GPL, etc.).
